Dr. Sorrels has been involved in the dental industry for over 30 years. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1978 from Texas A&M University, Dr. Sorrels then continued his studies culminating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch, located in Houston, TX. While operating a flourishing private practice in Houston for a many years, Dr. Sorrels was elected as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. His practice was built from a start-up to a highly successful professional practice in less than 5 years.
During his years practicing some of the most advanced and challenging forms of dental surgery, Dr. Sorrels conceived of and patented the PercuGuard and CutStop devices after himself suffering an accidental needle stick. In the process of his research on these devices he became convinced that the complicated process of launching an invention needed a company devoted to this process in all its aspects and this was the genesis of his decision to launch a company devoted to ensuring that innovation be given the best possible chance to flourish and prosper.

These individuals have been selected as they have background with our current Percuguard/Cutstop product launch as well as significant experience with intellectual property, product development, regulatory processes, clinical testing , and business and product launch program management.
John Powers, Ph.D.

Dr. John Powers
Dr. Powers graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in chemistry in 1967 and a Ph.D. in dental materials and mechanical engineering in 1972. He is Senior Vice President of Dental Consultants, Inc.; Editor of The Dental Advisor, a dental newsletter; and owner of Apex Dental Milling, a zirconia milling center. He is also Professor of Oral Biomaterials, Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. He is Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, University of Regensburg and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. He is active in the applied and basic research of bonding to dental substrates, color and optical properties of esthetic materials, and physical and mechanical properties of dental cements, composites and other restorative materials. Dr. Powers is Chair of ANSI/ADA Working Groups on waxes and cements. Dr. Powers has authored more than 980 scientific articles, abstracts, books, and chapters. He is co-author of the textbook, Dental Materials - Properties and Manipulation, and co-editor of Craig’s Restorative Dental Materials and Esthetic Color Training in Dentistry. He serves on the editorial boards of many dental journals. He has given numerous scientific and professional presentations in the United States, Mexico, South America, Europe, and Asia.
Milton V. Marshall, Ph.D., D.A.B.T.
Dr. Marshall is currently the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance, Center for Molecular Imaging, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. One of the world’s foremost authorities on chemical toxicity, Dr. Marshall has taught at scores of universities across the country and has authored more than 40 scientific articles in the fields of cancer research, toxicology, and nutritional health. His Ph.D. In biochemistry and virology is from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Adjunct academic appointments are currently held at a dental school and a medical school. Professional certifications include toxicology (American Board of Toxicology), Registered Quality Assurance Professional – GLP (Society of Quality Assurance), and Certified Clinical Research Professional (Society of Clinical Research Associates). His career accomplishments include experience as a principal investigator, study director, laboratory director, and consultant in toxicology and regulatory compliance in new product development. Specific areas of research and development include preclinical and clinical drug, biologic, medical device, and OTC product development.
Thomas Beaumont
Thomas Beaumont has been involved in the current stages of the launch of PercuGuard/CutStop since Early 2010. His broad and multifaceted background is focused on Industrial Design and Product development, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati in Industrial Design. Highlights of Mr. Beaumont’s career have included running large Industrial Design groups for such vaunted names as Motorola, Texas Instruments, and General Mills/Kenner Products. His product definition and business development skills led him to act as Principal Consultant with Product Paradigms where he created successful product launch programs funded by venture capital which incorporated detailed design specifications and managed the outsourcing processes for these programs. He is listed as an inventor or co-inventor on over 50 design and utility patents.
Jiten “Jit” Master, D.D.S.
Dr. Master is a respected specialist in the field of Prosthodontics, which is the specialty field in dentistry dealing with the functional and cosmetic reconstruction and rehabilitation of dental and facial structures, utilizing all types of dental restorations. Currently in private practice in Clearwater, FL, Dr. Master received his Specialty Certificate training and Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University in 1995, after completing his initial dental studies at University College Hospital Dental School in London, England. Prior to pursuing his specialty training in the US, he held several positions in the University and Dental Hospital environments where he developed an understanding of the medical/dental device industry and its regulatory and distribution practices. In addition to running a successful and robust private dental practice for many years, Dr. Master has also worked as a consultant to many dentists in the areas of effective practice management, marketing, sales, organizational and personnel management.
Curt Stewart
Mr. Stewart is a long time innovator in plastics manufacturing project design and project implementation. He has helped found or turnaround any companies in the plastics manufacturing and tooling design business, starting with 1st Tech Molding in Austin, TX where he was President and co-founder and grew the business in two years from zero to $6.5M in revenues as a supplier of injection molded parts for companies such as Dell, Compaq, and National Instruments. Over the years, he developed a successful methodology to perform rapid prototyping, tooling design, and outsourcing of plastic devices and has built this into a successful process engineering consultancy; working with companies in the US, Israel, and China. He understands every facet of plastics manufacturing from marketing to the machinery, and has helped numerous companies increase sales, launch new products, and cut costs. He has significant experience in all facets of sales, marketing, logistics, and business development focusing in the plastics field and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from WESTERN STATE COLLEGE OF COLORADO. Golden Valley Development, Inc. is leveraging these individuals credentials into an aggressive approach to the market across its target industries across the globe. This market will be described later and will be followed by a description of Golden Valley Development, Inc.’s approach and overall plan for building the company into a significant resource and valuable holding for Company’s shareholders.
Carter Ransom
Carter Ransom is a veteran of technology launches for over 30 years working for companies with less than a dozen and over 100,000 employees. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science (High Honors) in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech’s Marietta, GA campus, now called Southern Polytechnic State University, in 1982, Mr. Ransom has broad experience in many industries where he has worked as a engineering technologist in some of the most challenging industries and executive team member in Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance. The industries he has worked in cover, aerospace, metal forming, plastics recycling, Industrial Textiles, Video Production and Post Production, High Performance Computing, Enterprise Data Center Hosting, Storage, and Archival, and consumer and enterprise software. Highlights include:
- Helped build the first successful systems integrator in the Video compression industry
- Created a functioning company with over 12M in revenues, from a “think tank”, in under a year, landing contracts with many Fortune 100 companies and numerous government contracts including the first multi-way video communications network for the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.
- He then joined Sony Broadcast Group where he was part of launch teams for many products in the professional video electronics industry including the first successful digital still camera and photographic grade printer which led directly to Sony’s dominance in a these fields. He was awarded the Order of the Samurai for his work in the field of Distance Learning and Tele-medicine.
- He participated in a pre-IPO start-up named Digital Island and as a regional director for the Northeast headquarters in Manhattan; assisted in two acquisitions of internet technology companies and grew his team’s revenue line by 20X to 1.2M per month in under 12 months. These acquisitions led directly to a secondary private equity offering which raised over 1.3B dollars.
- He has since been involved in sales and other executive positions in many emerging and more established technology companies such as BlueArc, Diskeeper, Silicon Optics, Silicon Graphics, Teranex, and has performed start-up consulting for a host of international technology companies in China, Israel, and Russia.
